- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the ARRA of 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. Description of Work. The Kelly Forks W.C. Housing project consists of the construction of 3 (three), 3-bedroom, approximately 1144-square foot modular buildings and appurtenances for the Clearwater National Forest at Kelly Forks Work Center. The project shall include the demolition and removal of (3) three existing trailers, snow roofs, and propane tanks; clearing of existing trees and utilities; and, construction of buildings, utilities, parking at the site in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The project has Option Items to construct additional 1144-square foot modular buildings and appurtenances on the site. Option Item 1 includes construction an additional 3-bedroom, 1144 square foot modular bunkhouse and appurtenances at the Kelly Forks Work Center as shown on the site drawing. This work includes a propoane tank; clearing existing vegetation and utilities; and construction of a building, utilities, and parking at the site in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Option Items 2 and 3 include the same scope of work as Option Item 1 but the new bunkhouses will be constructed at the Musselshell Work Center. The only change in scope is that existing parking will be utilitized in lieu of new parking areas. Project Location. This project is located at the Kelly Forks W.C. which is located at Long. 115.25961731 Lat. 46.71800466 approximately 70 miles east of Orofino, Idaho. Elevation of the site is approximately 2600 feet above sea level. Kelly Forks is approached by a rough gravel road. The Contractor shall take appropriate precautions when traveling the road. Kelly Forks W.C. is open from approximately June 15- October 30 each year. Musselshell Work Center is located approximately 39 miles east of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, travel approximately 8 miles via Highway 12 to Greer, Idaho then approximately 18 miles via Highway 11 to Weippe, Idaho, then approximately 13 miles to the work center by Forest Highway 100 and 535. Musselshell Work Center is open from approximately June 15 - October 30 each year. Estimated start date is September 2010 and complete by November 1, 2011. This project is a total HUBZone SBC set-aside. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The solicitation will be available on or about July 27, 2010. There will be a formal site visit scheduled and announced with the solicitation.
