Description

RECOVERY – THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This notice is issued in accordance with the guidance for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and FAR Subpart 5.705. Purchase Order Number SB1341-09-SU-1110 was awarded to Cryomagnetics, Inc. of Oak Ridge, TN, on September 22, 2009, in the amount of $1,500,000.00. Work under this purchase order will develop and deliver five cryogen-free dry dilution refrigerators for the Quantum Electrical Metrology Division, Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EEEL) located at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO. Modification P001 shall be executed to incorporate a training presentation required by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, incorporate a technical change to the statement of work, and increase the total value of the purchase order. The period of performance remains unchanged. The payment schedule will be modified to incorporate the price increase. The Department of Commerce (DOC)/Inspector General (IG) requires that all Contractors who receive or have received contracts/ orders funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), train their employees on fraud, waste and abuse and be provided a copy of the power point presentation developed by the DOC/OIG. The presentation will be incorporated via this modification. The technical change to the Statement of Work is due to technical information obtained after award that was not available prior to award. The change modifies the Statement of Work, Required Specifications, paragraph g of the Technical Requirements entitled Cryogenic Magnetic Shielding. The total amount of the purchase order will be increased by $14,718.50 from $1,500,000.00 to $1,514,718.50.
