Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: This project is for pavement reconstruction and re-grading to improve drainage of 3rd Street and 4th Street, Sierra Army Depot, California. The sections of pavement will be 3 asphalt concrete, on 6 aggregate base, on 9 subbase (recycled asphalt concrete/aggregate base mix), on 6 scarified and recompacted subgrade. Generally the existing storm drainage system is to be used (existing drop inlets, underground pipe and surface gutters). The electrical repair portion of the paving project includes relocating the existing overhead primary power lines that parallel 4th Street and place as an underground primary line along 3rd Street. This electrical power line relocation includes new ground transformers for each building along 3rd Street. New secondary feeders are being installed underground from each transformer to the existing electrical panel in each building. Existing overhead secondary feeder shall be removed. Acquisition Information:This acquisition is proceeding as Invitation for Bid (IFB). This IFB is a HUBZone Small Business Set-Aside, and all HUBZone small businesses may respond. Estimated Cost Range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 Period of Performance for Construction: 300 Days. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y249, SIC CODE: 1611, NAICS Code: 237310. The size standard for this code is $33,500,000. Information about the time and location of the site visit/pre-proposal conference will be found in Section 00100 of the specifications. It is anticipated that the IFB will be issued on or about July 27, 2010, for downloading at the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the RFP is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov). If you are a first-time FedBizOpps user, you will also be required to register in FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) before accessing the RFP documents. To register, click on the Register Now button in the Vendors Block and follow the instructions.
