- This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) center located in Palo Alto, plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain services to Transport Laboratory Specimens work & supplies for Pathology Dept. Contractor shall transport laboratory test specimens; (1) Pick up from VA Sonora Outpatient Clinic, 13663 Mono Way Sonora, CA 95370 and deliver to the VA Livermore Division, 4951 Arroyo Rd, Livermore CA 94550 RM 202, 2nd floor Bldg 62; (2) Pick up from VA Modesto Outpatient Clinic at 1524 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA 95350 and deliver to the VA Livermore Division at 4951 Arroyo Rd, Livermore CA 94550 RM 202, 2nd floor Bldg 62; (3) Supplies only- Pick up from VA Livermore Division, 4951 Arroyo Rd, Livermore CA 94550 RM 202, 2nd floor Bldg 62 and deliver to VA Sonora Outpatient Clinic, 13663 Mono Way Sonora, CA 95370. Courier services between the VA facilities will be conducted daily, Monday through Friday except on federal holidays. The Courier will transport all specimens in accordance with DOT and OSHA regulations. The NAICS code 492110 applies with a size standard of 1500 employees. This is set aside for VOSB/SDVOSB. The contract will be a fixed price type and is expected to include a base year beginning 1 August 2010 to 31 July 2011, with four (4) option years. The Offeror is responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the website listed above, without further notification from the VA Contracting Officer. Contractors must be registered in the following websites to be considered: Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx and VETBIZ registry http://vip.vetbiz.gov The solicitation number RFP is VA-261-10-RP-0301 will be posted on or about 15 July 2010 with an anticipated proposal due date of 27 July 2010 by 4PM, PST. All questions must be in writing and emailed to maria.teodoro@va.gov This Pre-solicitation notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by e-mail to maria.teodoro@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Time 26 July 2010. Information should include the Name of the Company, POC name, phone numbers, email address, CCR/DUNS number, and indicate status i.e. SDVOSB, VOSB.
