- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to CodaOctopus Americas 1775 South 4130 West, Suite A, Salt Lake City, UT 84104 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.106-1b, Only One Source Reasonable Available, to procure one (1) Echoscope Real Time 3D Sonar System. Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, CodaOctopus Americas is the only company capable of providing an underwater inspection system that can produce 3 dimensional sonar imaging in real time. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties are advised that no solicitation document is available for this requirement and may identify their interest and capacity by submitting a capabilities statement by 10:00 am, EST, by Thursday, July 15, 2010. The capability statement must reference FBI/LD Number 10-Q-LDQ003386. The capability statement should be delivered to the FBI Laboratory, 2501Investigation Parkway, Room 1252, Quantico, VA 22135, Attn: Christina R. Sims, Contract Specialist or by email to Christina.Sims@ic.fbi.gov. The Government will not pay for any information received. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
