Description
This "Sources Sought" Notice is being issued for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is conducting a market survey to identify the availability, interest, and capabilities of qualified members of the Small Business community [Historically Underutilized Business Zone businesses] as potential sources of construction services for the project described below. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320 with a size standard of $13,000,000 average annual revenue for the past three years. Requirement: The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) requires the services of a painting contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, an supervision to paint the Structural Steel Supports for the BEP's central cooling towers, Volatile Organic Compound Abatement System, Cat Walks, Platforms and Railings. This work shall include the preparation, priming (as needed), and application of an industrial exterior epoxy coating. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. Firms responding to this announcement should include company name, cage code, point of contact, address and indicate whether they are a HUB Zone small business or large business. Companies shall provide a capabilities statement no longer than 5 pages in length. Responses must be submitted via email to terry.downs@bep.gov NLT 3:00 p.m. EST, Monday, 22 July 2010. Fax responses will not be accepted due to the poor and unreadable condition that faxed documents are normally received. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS, AND A FORMAL PROPOSAL IS NOT REQUESTED. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED ONLY TO IDENTIFY SOURCES OF THE REQUIRED SERVICES. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought announcement. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. No site visits to the facility are allowed at this time. No calls or inquiries will be accepted in regards to the detailed requirements of the project.
