Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Service Area Office 8, West Palm Beach intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract for installation of Concrete Parking Lot #20. This procurement will be firm-fixed-price, 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) whose business is physically located within the State of Florida. Size standard under NAICS 236220 is $33.5M; Project Cost Range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The work will be performed on the main medical campus located at 7605 N Military Trail, West Palm Bach FL. The solicitation notice should be available on or about July 26, 2010. Requirement Project No. 548-09-106 titled Concrete Parking Lot #20. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, services, supervision and tools necessary to construct a complete and functional Parking Lot #20 to existing field. CONCRETE PARKING LOT Rough grade and prepare areas as defined on the drawings to receive pervious pavement. Raise the elevation of the existing 2 catch basins by 1 foot. Provide 6" pervious concrete pavement over 9" #57 ASTM C33 rock base over compacted sub base (compact 92% of modified proctor, ASTM D1557). See detail. Concrete pavement shall have compressive strength between 1,500- 2,000 psi. It shall have a density of 115 pounds per cubic foot. Provide joints so that spacing is between 15 and 20 feet. Provide 6" wide ribbon concrete curb type "D" around perimeter of new pavement. See detail. Contractor to provide and install 100 new wheel stops. Wheel stops must match existing in Parking Lot #19. Existing wheel stops are "LOTBLOCKS standard 6 foot parking stop, yellow with hardware model #CS6S-H-Y" Stripe stall lines per the layout with white paint as specified in the pavement marking specifications. Provide fill as needed to maintain slope to catch basin. Sod all areas disturbed to match existing. ELECTRICAL SITE LIGHTING Extend conduit system as necessary to complete the conduit runs for the site lighting. This includes but not limited to finish conduit run from box on North-West corner of Building 13. Pull proper size wire (per NEC) necessary to power seven (7) single head pole mounted exterior light fixtures. Provide and install pole base as detailed. Install junction boxes adjacent to new light pole bases (future access). Provide and install seven (9) 35' aluminum round light poles to match existing on site. Existing light poles on site are: Lexington Standard Corporation Model # 3408-45-80-8-T-4 painted bronze finish. Provide seven (7) new exterior pole mounted light fixtures for site lighting. Light fixtures to be: Lithonia Lighting, KAD 350M SR4SC SPDO4 DDB LPI PE4 w/T20-280 RTA 35, 10G, 480 VOLT LAMP: 350W/ED-28MH, OR APPROVED EQUAL. SITE FINISH WORK Provide necessary fill to grade areas around new parking lot addition into existing grade outside the areas of construction. Provide necessary sod to complete the transition from new parking lot to existing field. Remove all construction debris and debris caused by construction of the project. Remove emergency call box and pour new slab next to new sidewalk and re-install. Pour new slab for "Shuttle Bus Pick Up" approximately 10' x 10'.
