- This is a notice of intent to award electrical vault upgrade tasks under an existig IDIQ Contract (#HHSN292200900002I) to the Ranger Group LLC. The resulting task order will be awarded using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funds. THIS NOTICE IS TO PROVIDE FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR THAT WAS AWARDED THE NIH ELECTRICAL VAULT UPGRADE CONTRACT #HHSN292200900002I. The following is the scope of work ITEM # 1 - SOW: Manhole and Feeder Upgrade E-15 -- Due to existing life safety conditions inside manhole E-15, design/builder is to replace existing PILC feeders 35, 45 and 55 between MH's E-14 and E-15 with new EPR feeders, and to install approved PILC to EPR electrical connections inside MH E-15 for all feeders between MH E-15 and MH's E-15A, E-15C, E-16, E-32T2 to allow safe entry into MH E-15 in the future. Design/builder is also to provide appropriately sized primary load interrupter switches at manhole E-15D to provide over-current protection for the new transformers being installed in Bldg 38A. ITEM #2 - SOW: MH E-25, W-1, W-7, and W-10 -- Due to existing life safety conditions found inside manhole E-25, design/builder is to repair existing PILC splices on feeders W-1, W-7 and W-10 inside manhole E-25. ITEM #3 - SOW: MH E-15 ANDMH E-15C -- Due to existing life safety conditions found with feeder 55 between manholes E-15 and E-15C, design/builder is to replace existing PILC feeder with new EPR feeder between manholes E-17 and E- 15C. ITEM #4 - SOW: Vaults Short Circuit Analysis -- Provide short circuit calculation, equipment evaluation, and over-current protection analysis for the medium voltage (MV) 13KV system, for the new vault upgrade project. Develop one-line diagrams for the MV system and install one laminated copy at each of the ubstation building. ITEM #5 - SOW: Bldg 41 Secondary Feeders -- Due to existing life safety conditions found with the secondary feeders from the existing switchgear in vault 41 to the existing loads in Building 41, design /builder is to replace existing fabric covered secondary feeders with new approved conduit and wire from newly installed switchgear in Vault 41 to the existing loads in Building 41. ITEM #6 - SOW: Bldg 13S Modifications 1. Increase the size of the new primary network transformers installed outside at Vault 13S from 750KVa to 1,000KVa. 2. Relocate the new primary network transformers to a location at grade instead of inside the existing below grade vault. 3. Change the distribution voltage from the secondary side of the primary network transformers to the branch panel boards located through-out the building on each floor; from the existing 208Y/120V distribution to the requested 480Y/277V distribution.
