- Description
- The MK-124 is a hand held signal used by downed pilots. It has two different pyrotechnic compositions in it, a smoke side for day time use and a flare side for night time use. Both ends are functioned using a one hand operable trigger assembly. It is approximately 5 3/8 inches long by 1 5/8 inches in diameter. There is a government owned specification that will be used for qualification, first article, and lot acceptance testing. This intent of this requirement is to award a basic plus one ordering year contract. The basic will cover qualification requirements and approximately 10,000 production units. The second ordering year will include approximately 50,000 additional production units. Total estimated dollar amount for this effort is $4,000,000.00
