Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 9, using the data collected with a sources sought published in May 2010 has obtained enough small business competition to warrant a 100% set-aside for small business for two (2) VISN 9 VA Medical Centers (VAMC), VAMC Louisville, and VAMC Lexington. You are encouraged to continue to monitor Fed Biz Opps for these announcements. We anticipate posting both solicitations sometime July 2010. All small businesses are encouraged to submit response to both solicitations for these requirements. VAMC Lexington and VAMC Louisville rent tanks from their current vendors with an appropriate back-up system (i.e. reserve tank or cylinder bank). The base contract period of performance for this requirement will be from October 1, 2010 anticipated through September 30, 2011. The contract awarded under the solicitation will include four (4) one-year option periods which may be exercised at the sole discretion the Government. Please note that the contract specifying the installation of contractor-owned equipment will include a 90 day transition period at the beginning and end of the contract period. A required Site Visit for these medical centers will be scheduled for week of August 9, 2010 and as coordinated with designated Contracting Officer ™s Technical Representatives (COTR) that will be listed in the actual solicitation. The proposed method of procurement for this requirement is partial set-aside for the two medical centers mentioned above. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 325120 Industrial Gas Manufacturing (size standard 1000 employees). All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. The anticipated issuing date of this solicitation is on or about July 14, 2010. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at this URL address. No telephone request will be accepted.
