- Description
- This is a request for Standard Form 330, not a request for proposal. Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services for Project 578-10-219 to Renovate Building 18 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Work to include, but is not limited to, preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimate of for all facets of work and trades necessary to facilitate award of a construction contract in order to completely renovate Building 18, a 19,000 square foot Building on the Hines VA Campus. The building will be renovated for research and offices. The construction work involved may contain, but is not limited to, removal of interior walls and systems, construction of new interiors, exterior renovation, and new data and phone systems. Asbestos and Lead Based Paint abatement is also a part of this project. The contractor shall furnish a complete design package to include plans, architectural, structural, views, details, sections, elevations, shop drawings, working drawings, edited specifications, site visits, and related information as required for the construction phase of the project. The building will be designed to obtain LEED certification. The goal would be a LEED Silver building, but may be reduced based upon funding restrictions and the practical application of LEED principals. The Construction Cost Range for this project is $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business August 6, 2010. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) Team proposed for this project, (2) Proposed management plan, (3) Previous experience of proposed team, (4) Location and facilities of working offices, (5) Proposed design approach for this project, (6) Project control, (7) Estimating effectiveness, (8) Sustainable design, (9) Miscellaneous experience & capabilities, (10) Awards. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award of a contract is subject to the availability of funds.
