Description
This is a sources sought notice and is not a request for proposals. This sources sought is to determine if there are 8(a) small businesses, HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Women Owned Small Business contractors that are qualified and capable of manufacturing prefabricated metal buildings on Fort Bliss. The Mission & Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss, Texas is seeking information to verify that there are qualified and capable sources available to renovate Chapel 2 Annex (Building 1547) at Fort Bliss, TX. The Government is looking for those firms primarily responsible (for construction including new work, additions, alterations, maintenance, and repairs) of commercial and institutional buildings and related structures and evidence that the contractor has complied with all laws and regulations when performing this work. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard size of $33.5 million. The majority of the effort will involve painting, repairing, cleaning surfaces, replacing ceilings removing evaporative coolers, repair gutters, replacing kitchen appliances, replacing restrooms, air conditioners, etc. The magnitude of this project is expected to be between $100,000 to $250,000 and the contractor must be able to obtain bonding in the form of bid guarantee, and performance and payment bonds. Those firms interested in providing information in response to this sources sought are requested to provide the following information to the Contracting Officer, David Wojciechowski at david.wojciechowski@us.army.mil and Contract Specialist, Doretha McDell at doretha.mcdell@us.army.mil by the close of business on 22 July 2010: 1) Firm Name; 2) Firm Address; 3) DUNS/CAGE Code; 4) POC Information; 5) Size of Business (number of employees); 6) Bonding Capacity (single and total); 7) Annual Revenue; 8) List the States you have performed work in; and 9) Provide information on previous work performed manufacturing prefabricated metal building to include: a description of the project, POC name and phone number/email address for the owner, amount of contract award, date when it was performed, and the number of days it took to complete.
