Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. W912EE-10-T-0054 is being issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation will be competed Un-restricted and evaluated based on Rotary Screw Air Compressor compatibility with the following specifications for name brand or equal. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333912 (SIC 3563) with a size standard of 500 employees. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg District has a requirement for (2) AIR COMPRESSORS similar or equal to INGERSOLL RAND UPS-50 125PSI ROTARY SCREW AIR COMPRESSOR in accordance with the Specifications: The two air compressors shall be equal to or similar to the Ingersoll Rand UP6050PE SSR Rotary Screw Air Compressor. The Ingersoll Rand is used as an example or illustration only. It may not be purchased because it is manufactured by a large business and the Rotary Screw Air Compressors to be purchased must be manufactured by a small business as stated in FAR 19.502-2(c). All following specifications must have an Outdoor Modification Option. This will increase the reliability and life of the machines extensively. This option includes NEMA 4 plus additional enclosure panels at the cooling air entrance and exit to prevent water from entering the compressor cabinet. A FULL NEMA 4 PACKAGE must be included. This combination option is intended for those installations requiring protection from dust and/or high humidity. This option includes: NEMA 4 starter cabinet, NEMA 4 control panel, NEMA 4 solenoids and conduit, TEFC main motor, TEFC cooling fan motor, Star-delta starter. The following specifications are critical: 50hp 230/460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz, totally enclose fan cooled motor/NEMA 4 controls, 208cfm @125 psi or greater, Low sound enclosure, Ultra coolant, Moisture separator, Dimensions (LxWxH) 67.4 x 54.3 x 52.8 same or smaller, Low sound enclosure (69 dba), Connection Size 1.5 in. The following shall be included in this procurement: Each unit shall be crated for shipping, Delivery to Monroe, La., After installation, a Company representative shall insure proper start up and operation of each unit located at (1)Columbia Lock and Dam &(2)Jonesville Lock and Dam on the Ouachita/Black River in Northern La. Quotes are due 21 July 2010 not later than 2:00 p.m. at the USACE VICKSBURG DISTRICT, 4155 CLAY STREET, VICKSBURG, MS 39183-3435, ATTN: Brian T. Gladney.
