- It is the intent of the Department of Energy-Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) as a small business set-a-side for the repair/replacement of the HVAC system located at the Idaho National Laboratory. CPP-663 maintenance & crafts warehouse building is a 49,537 square foot, two story concrete block building, sheathed with steel siding that was built in1980. The building houses offices, maintenance shops, storage and other support functions for INTEC. The second floor is entirely office space, with the exception of the utility corridor which houses the HVAC systems? heat exchangers and evaporative cooling equipment. The first floor contains a combination of offices, maintenance and craft shops and warehouse space. The HVAC system that services CPP-663 is obsolete, inefficient, in disrepair and not functioning as designed. The HVAC system will require significant repair to ensure functionality. The RFP will include the following Scope of Work: A.Project preparation and engineeringB.Work scope planning and preparation and executionC.Replacement of approximately 60 temperature sensors and Variable Air Volume (VAV) controllers in individual office spaces.D.Repair/Replacement of approximately 23 outside and recirculation air dampeners and motors. Assume 5 dampeners will be replaced and 18 repaired.E.Replace temperature sensors/indicators in the chilled glycol loop.F.Repair of leaks on heated glycol loop.G.Repair/overhaul 2 evaporative cooling units.H.Replacement of rigid media in 3 evaporative cooling unitsI.Repair/Replacement of water tank on 1 evaporative cooling unit.J.Repair/Replacement of 5 steam control valves and actuators on main heat exchangers.K.Repair/Replacement of 5 steam traps on main heat exchangers.L.Update of procedures for operations and system control. M.Revise and issue updated Piping and Instrumentation Design (P&ID) drawings for restored system.N.Installation of meter(s) for the monitoring of CPP-663 electrical consumption. Please note the above list is not all encompassing. Additional requirements may be added to actual RFP.
