- The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency & renewable Energy has a requirement for attendance at the 2010 American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) Summer Study on Energy Efficiency and Buildings, for the Buildings Technologies Program from August 15-20, 2010 in Pacific Grove, California. The Government intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE). The period of performance for this award will be from July 22, 2010 through September 30, 2010. Projects are carried out by ACEEE staff and collaborators from Government, the private sector, research institutions, and other nonprofit organizations. ACEEE?s program areas include: Energy Policy, Research (including programs on Buildings and Equipment, Utilities, Industry and Agriculture, Transportation, Economic and Social Analysis and International); and Communications. ACEEE?s technical work is widely relied upon by policymakers, business and industry decision-makers, consumers, the media, and other energy professionals. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 253 [c] [1], as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a notice of intent and no solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties may submit capability statement and rationale by July 22, 2010 at 10:00am via e-mail to kyle.martel@hq.doe.gov. The written response must include a general statement for services mentioned in this announcement and past performance client information for similar work. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
