- ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to install EPA required overfill protection devices (OPD), audible alarms, fuel depth gages, and interstitial leak detectors on 76 above ground fuel tanks at Base Support Unit (BSU) Kodiak. Install all components using good Industry plumbing practices, meeting manufacturers written instructions, and USCG requirements noted in within these specifications. Provide optional bid item(s) for exterior cleaning, preparing, and touch up for each tank to the Contracting Officer (KO) as part of the Bid. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None. Performance Period is 30-45 days. Work to be completed and approved by NLT Sep 30, 2010. SUBMITTAL & MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Submit the following for approval; A) Means, methods and verifiable measurements to install all components to meet EPA, govt and manufacturers recommended installations. B) All plumbing and piping materials to be installed. C) Overfill protection device D) Audible alarm E) Fuel depth gage F) Leak detection gage G) Fill buckets H) Paints, sealants, touch up supplies, marking (including hazard identification), etc. I) Schedule for installation. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE UPON REQUEST. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD JULY 21, 2010, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Base Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS $50,000 - $100,000.
