Description
The US Army Corp of Engineers, Kansas City District, Harry S. Truman Power Plant will issue a request for quotes for a firm-fixed price contract to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the following: 1. Provide services to reconfigure existing split 125 volt DC, 60 cell station battery configuration into one single string set, place on bottom tier of unassembled Government furnished two (2) Enersys UBC-Zone 2,2 tier 12 ft in length, catalog #857529 battery racks, and reconfigure ALBER MPM-100 battery monitor system. 2. Install a second Government furnished ALBER MPM-100 battery monitor on Government furnished EXIDE GNB 2MCT-5, 125 volt DC, (30) 2 cell battery bank (String #2). Contractor shall utilize existing battery monitor mounting rack (same as above). Contractor shall provide a standard installation and shall include technicians, materials (including harnesses, panduit and load cables), fiber, system start-up, recording initial tests on Government computer and necessary training. Verify ALBER battery monitor is functioning properly. Configure Government BMDM software to monitor string #2. Government personnel will install new rigid conduit from ALBER mounting rack to first cell on battery string. 3. Provide technical services to perform Capacity Load Testing per IEEE 450 of battery string #1 (Exide 4DX-17, (15) 4-cell jars) and string #2 (GNB 2MCT-5, (30) 2-cell jars) using a resistive DC load bank. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Scope of Work, Drawings and Wage Determination to be provided in the solicitation. Specific requirements and time periods will be specified in the solicitation. The Contractor shall monitor performance and ensure compliance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation/award. The performance period will be from date of award through 30 September 2010. The solicitation will be available on or about July 9, 2010. The solicitation, including any amendments, shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 811219. SBA size standard is $7.0. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE.
