The short-term support will be accomplished as an acquisition of services, follow-on to the support previously acquired under the prior long term contract, F42630-99-D-0244 with Rockwell Collins Simulation & Training Solutions which is scheduled to expire 27 September 2010. SIL availability and operation is necessary to complete technical discrepancy (TD) resolution for the remaining open modifications to complete contact F42630-99-D-0244. The SIL is currently located, and will remain, at the incumbent contractor's facility at Sterling, VA. Support will be limited to: 1. Operation of the SIL during development of Technical Discrepancy resolution. 2. Total maintenance and logistics support for the SIL, SIL SE and SIL/SE components. 3. Support integration of Software and Hardware TD resolutions for 15 open modifications required to successfully complete all contracting actions for the current CLS contract. 4. Maintain the SIL baseline and provide configuration management. 5. No Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) or other significant modification efforts shall be accomplished within the scope this effort. The anticipated period of performance for this short-term support contract will be a 6-month base contract and two potential 3-month options, beginning 01 Oct 2010. This effort will end and align into the award B-52 Aircrew Training System contract under solicitation FA8223-10-R-0001.
