The purpose of this Request for Offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work associated with the renovation in the Automation Wing second floor and attic space of the Automation Wing at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located at 3101 Auburn Way, South, Auburn, Washington. Magnitude of construction is from $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. This project is set-aside for competition exclusively amongst SEDB/8(a) contractors as certified with the Small Business Administration. The NAICS Code for this project is 236210. The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code is $33.5 million. All work must be coordinated in order to maintain an operational facility. The total contract duration for completion of all work shall be 273 calendar days. The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to the following: - Structural seismic upgrades for the Automation Wing and attic. - Construction of new office spaces, classrooms, and restrooms. - Installation of mechanical systems (ductwork and exhaust fans). Installation of VAV terminal units, humidifiers, fin tube radiators, exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures and associated piping, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems. - Installation of electrical systems (lighting, power, public address system, LAN, telephone, and fire detection). A mandatory site visit will be held on July 19, 2010 at 10 am. Offerors must contact Mr. Ken Bloom to pre-register for the site visit. Visitors must provide name, company name, number of individuals attending, driver's license number, and vehicle information, purpose of visit, and point of contact information, at least 24 hours prior to their visit.
