- RECOVERY ACT - This notice is released to announce the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Western Regional Office (WRO), intent to award a firm-fixed price construction project. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, services, equipment, supervision, and performance necessary to provide construction activities for crack cleaning, sealing, pavement marking, and sign installation project. The work consists of surface treatment on 0.905 miles of Route 101 on Project LIC Safety No. 1, Pershing County, Lovelock, Nevada located in northwest Nevada, in accordance with the design drawings, specifications, wage rates, and all contract requirements. The BIA/WRO, requires a firm fixed-price construction contract, and the procurement method is Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. This project will utilize the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-03) except where otherwise indicated in the solicitation. The Standard Specifications are available at http://flh.fhwa.dot.gov. The solicitation is UNRESTRICTED and is solicited on an OPEN MARKET BASIS. The period of performance is 150 Calendar Days. The estimated price range is less than $25,000. Offerors are expected and responsible to inspect and verify the site conditions where the work is to be performed. This project is classified under NAICS Code 237310, and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. The solicitation packet will be available on or about June 29, 2010. This solicitation is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5; and the contractor shall comply with ARRA statute and all applicable laws, regulations, provisions, policies, procedures, and clauses, including (but not limited to) meeting the requirements of Sec. 1512 of the ARRA and other accountability and transparency conditions. Interested firms are instructed to submit a written Request for Quotation (RFQ) package to Geraldine Williams, Purchasing Agent, via email at geraldine.williams@bia.gov or Fax at (602) 379-6763., Telephone requests to obtain the RFQ package will NOT be accepted. Offerors are required to frequently check for updates at the website located at www.fbo.gov for updates and to download the solicitation packet when it becomes available. Submit your RFQ to the following address: BIA, Western Regional Office, Division of Acquisition, Attention: Geraldine Williams, 2600 N. Central Avenue, Room 450, Phoenix, AZ 85004-3050 by close of business, 4:30PM (Local Time) on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Quotes submitted by facsimile and email will be accepted.
