Description

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries intends to award a sole source contract to 3M Company located at 3M Center, Bldg. 235-3A-09, St. Paul, MN 55144 for secure, matched component license plate consumables and maintenance services. These products are especially designed for use with equipment UNICOR owns. The above referenced contractor is the only responsible source that can not only provide all of the matched component consumables, but also service UNICOR's equipment and integrated software. This is not a request for proposals. 3M Company is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required item s and services. A justification for other than full and open competition is on file. The determination not to open competition is solely within the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no o ther supplies or s ervices will s atisfy a gency r equirements. No telephone inquires will be accepted. It is anticipated that a sole source contract will be awarded as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Par 13. There will not be a solicitation for this requirement. The award for this requirement will be made not later than July 14, 2010.
