- Description
- AMENDMENT-0002 This amendment is to combined synopsis/solicitation notice # W9124R10TXRAY is to provide questions/answers, as follows; Question 1: E-Lins A017 Equipment to interface with existing YPG FXR Please specify required equipment Answer: The components needed to interface with existing equipment will depend on each vendors design. See section C.5 of the SOW. In short: Metrology and Simulation Division requires the option to operate our existing pulsers with the vendors control, monitoring, and trigging equipment as if it was the vendors own pulser being used. The vendors equipment must interface with the pulser in such a way that the pulser operates properly and with no modifications made to the pulser. See Figure 1. (See attached Amendment 0002 doc. to view figure 1) Figure 1: Diagram of vender's control equipment interfaced with existing pulser. In the event the vendors equipment is not pin-for-pin compatible with the existing pulser section C.6 of the SOW specifies the vendor shall identify and provide any additional equipment needed to operate the flash X-ray system or to support compatibility. The vendor will need to supply these components as well. Question 2: E-Lins A024 Other Spares Please specify required spare items Answer: System configuration may vary between individual vendors, therefore required spare items will be determined in part by which vendor is awarded the contract. Metrology and Simulation Division requires any single component it deems necessary to procure be supplied by the vendor awarded the contract. These spare components will be priced and purchased individually. Question 3: E-Lins B017 Equipment to interface with existing YPG FXR Please specify required equipment Answer: See answer to Question 1. Question 4: E-Lins B024 Other Spares Please specify required spare items Answer: See answer to Question 2. Question 5: E-Lins C024 Other Spares Please specify required spare items Answer: See answer to Question 2. Question 6: E-Lins D015 Remote Dielectric Gas Control Please specify for which FXR system and the number of channels to be remotely controlled Answer: Any procured FXR system. Current plans call for systems to be operated in 1, 2, 3, and 4 channel configurations. The dielectric controls would require use in each of these configurations. Expansion beyond 4 channels is not expected, but could be beneficial. Question 7: E-Lins D024 Other Spares Please specify required spare items Answer: See answer to Question 2. Question 8: E-Lins E015 Remote Dielectric Gas Control Please specify for which FXR system and the number of channels to be remotely controlled Answer : See answer to Question 6. Question 9: E-Lins E024 Other Spares Please specify required spare items Answer: See answer to Question 2.
