- Description
- This project consists of replacing two existing bridges and removing and disposing of them off of National Forest lands. The existing Upper Cottonwood bridge has a 28 foot span, timber deck and rock wall abutments and will be replaced with a 36 foot span bridge on a skew with timber abutments and a precast/prestressed concrete deck. The Lower Cottonwood bridge currently has a 22 foot span, timber deck and crib abutments. This will be replaced with 34 foot span bridges with timber abutments and precast/prestressed concrete decks. This project also involves hauling in structural backfill and riprap, and paving the bridges and approaches. The road may be closed for 10 days per bridge. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, supplies, materials and quality control necessary to divert the existing creek, build the bridge, construct the bridge, shape and compact the adjacent approaches and roadway, place riprap and curshed aggregate base and pave the bridge and approaches per the drawings and specifications. Government furnished riprap is available within 3 miles of the bridge site. Crushed aggregate shall be purchased by the contractor. The project is located on the Greys River District, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Lincoln County, Wyoming. Offers are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, August 10, 2010. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately July 8, 2010, and can be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The proposed project listed here is a HUBZone set-aside.
