Capability Brief example. Use to describe business type, size and service and supplies provided. FIRE FIGHTER SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT The United States Air Force, 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL is seeking sources for Fire Fighting equipment and flow test service. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for planning purposes only. It will also aide in determining availability, and technical proficiency of qualified companies capable of meeting the Government's needs. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is this a Request for Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the services as described herein. 6 CONS is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced and interested potential sources capable of providing Fire Fighting Equipment Flow test and shield assembly replacement on MacDill AFB. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of 6 CONS evaluation of the information received. As a result of this Request for Information 6 CONS may issue a Solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP). However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against 6 CONS shall arise as a result of a response to this Request for Information (e.g., use of such information as either part of its evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement). For the purpose of this RFI the anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423850 Fire fighting equipment and supplies merchant wholesalers, with a size standard of 100 employees. All interested parties are invited to respond and must have current Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If your firm has an interest in proposing on the requirements described above, please e-mail a Capability Statement to Mr. Daniel Abert at daniel.abert@macdill.af.mil. Not Later Than 25 June 2010, 12:00 p.m. E.S.T. The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your firm's experiences in contracts requiring similar efforts. Interested parties shall not submit more than 10 single-sided; type-written pages using 12-point type or larger, following the provided template (Attachment 2 provides an example of the Capability Statement). Request Capability Statements include the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, NAICS code, GSA schedules held, company size (small, large business); if small, indicate type (8(a), small disadvantaged business, HUBZone, minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, etc.). 2. Demonstrate ability to provide a broad range of Fire fighting equipment testing services and supplies to support MacDill AFB
