- Description
- The following question has been received: We are in question of the electrical scope - page 11 of 165 of the specifications 3.0 Electrical - Contractor shall install new control panels in L8 & K1 for the new pumps in each station. 3.1.1 - provides information about these controllers - 3.1.2 provides wiring information and float information. The questions is - whom is providing the pump controller and the floats - plan sheet 64/1638 indicates the Storm Water Pump Motor Starter is Government furnished (L8) and the same on 64/1969 for K1. The descriptions in the electrical scope provide enough information (other than manufactures) that our normal vendors may assume they would provide pricing -We were involved in almost all of the original projects for East Grand Forks Levee's - and this equipment was provided by the government on those projects. Is it correct to assume that we are to just "install" the government provided equipment and "provide and install" the conduits and wiring to these controllers and electrical panels - and the government also "provides" final testing and systems check out with SIPAR. The scope for the pumps (2.0) indicates "new government furnished equipment" - that statement is not evident in regards to the pump starters. Other than in the plan sheets. Please advise. Government Response: The plan sheets provided for K1 and L8 including drawings 64/1638 and 64/1969 are provided for reference only. These drawings show the as-built condition of the stations at the completion of construction. These drawings do not indicate the requirements for this new contract. The contractor shall provide the control panel, motor starters, wiring, floats, and all conduit required for the new third pump installations at K1 and L8. The requirements for these features are stated in the scope of work. These are not Government furnished items.
