Description
The Baltimore District, US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified members of the Small Businesses Community (Small Businesses (SB) Small Disabled Small Business (SDB) Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Service Disabled Veteran Owned SB (SDVOSB) Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZones) and Section 8(a) Participants) or small business-led teams, and small business joint ventures and Other than Small (OTS) concerns that qualify under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction for the following requirement. This is a Sources Sought advertisement only. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposals. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The contractor shall construct the boundary gate at Nallin Pond Access Control Point (ACP). This project will provide car and truck inspection facilities and a visitor's center. Support facilities include utilities, roadway access to Opposumtown Pike, site improvements, and truck holding area. The project will be designed in accordance with criteria prescribed in Unified Facilities Criteria 4-022-01 Security Engineering: Entry Control Facilities/Access Control Points, Americans with Disabilities Act and Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADA/ABAAG), and applicable energy conservation legislation. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District is seeking interested Small Business Firms with knowledge of Maryland state road requirements and easements. This announcement is part of our market research, and your responses are sought to identify sources that can supply these items. Interested small businesses contractors and small business-led teams that qualify under NAICS Code 236220 are hereby invited to submit a response to the market survey to demonstrate their interest in providing the requested items. Please ensure this NAICS Code is incorporated in your current CCR profile at www.ccr.gov. It is anticipated that the Government will issue a firm fixed price solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. This notice is provided as information to the marketplace and is an invitation for an expression of interest and demonstration of small business capability to provide the requested items. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Interested Small Business Contractors shall have the experience and capabilities to perform construction that meets all of the following criteria: (1) projects which have provided car and truck inspection facilities; (2) building of a visitor's center; (3) Support facilities including utilities, roadway access to and from State roads and site improvements, and truck holding area.; (4) designed in accordance with criteria prescribed in Unified Facilities Criteria 4-022-01 Security Engineering; (5) Entry Control Facilities/Access Control Points, Americans with Disabilities Act and Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADA/ABAAG) and applicable energy conservation legislation. All interested Small Business contractors have until 25 June 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time to submit your companys business size, evidence of capabilities and experience in five criteria above, and bonding capability by submission of Surety Company Letter stating bonding capacity.
