- The Department of Defense Education Activity's (DoDEA) intends to issue on a sole-source basis under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, an award to Teaching Strategies Incorporated to renew its software licenses to Creative Curriculum.net for documenting student progress. CreativeCurriculum.net can easily organize information in new ways not possible by hand. Once data is entered, the system can instantly generate hundreds of customized reports for all stakeholders; families, teachers, administrators, and state and federal officials. To the Government's knowledge Teaching Strategies, Inc. is the only known source that can provide the software that meets all of the requirements listed below. Each annual subscription includes: Features and Functionality • Instant access to all features, all day, every day, from anywhere • Tools to easily build an electronic portfolio including: o observation notes o examples of children's work o photographs o audio and video clips • An easy-to-use form to enter assessment data • Tools to communicate with parents and share electronic portfolios • Interactive Weekly Planning Form that can be customized by teachers and submitted to their administrators • Exclusive access to hundreds of activities designed to complement The Creative Curriculum for Preschool (available online only), including 50 new Literacy Activities Planning Reports • Planning Reports for each class, including: • Child Progress and Planning Report • Classroom Summary Worksheet that shows the progress of the children in each class at a glance • Individual Child Profile • The Class Profile Report • Interactive Weekly Planning Form that can be customized by teachers and submitted to their administrators Progress Reports Detailed and customizable progress reports that reflect gains at the class, site, program, and organization level including: • Advanced Progress and Outcomes Report • Executive Summary Report • Snapshot Report • Gains Comparison Report that compares the gains between classes, sites, and programs • Program Analysis Report • Executive Summary Report • Two-Year Comparison Report All progress reports can easily be formatted to show results on: • The Head Start Outcomes Framework • The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Ages 3 - 5 • The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum for Infants, Toddlers, &Twos OSEPreports.net- A new system based on the CreativeCurriculum.net engine that makes generating statewide or district-wide OSEP reports simple. Data is entered directly into the ECO Outcomes Summary Form. This direct-entry system allows administrators to blend the results and generate reports from multiple assessment instruments. Programs can also combine data from CreativeCurriculum.net with data on OSEPreports.net to generate combined results. Support Services and Administrative Help • Personalized account management services provided by a dedicated Implementation Manager • Web-enabled teleconference orientations for administrators and key program personnel • Technical support by e-mail, chat, and phone for key program personnel • User's Guides and other print documentation • Online help and interactive tutorials • Access to free alignments of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool Goals and Objectives with state early learning standards Any responsible party that feels it has the capability to provide the software meeting all of the requirements listed in this announcement may write to the referenced Contract Specialist. This announcement and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. Responses in regard to this announcement shall be submitted by June 28, 2010, 10:00 A.M. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. If no affirmative written responses are received by the due date indicating a comparable source exists, an order will be placed with Teaching Strategies, Inc. Each Electronic and Information Technology supply or service furnished under this acquisition shall comply with the Electronic and Information Accessibility Standards (36 CFR 1194, see http://www.section508.gov/ ), except for supplies or services specifically identified by the contractor to the Contracting Officer prior to award. If the Contracting Officer determines any furnished supply or service does not conform to the Standards, the Contracting Officer will promptly inform the Contractor in writing. The contractor shall, without charge to the Government, repair or replace the non-compliant supply or service within the period of time the Government specifies. The Government requires software for the period of one Base Year plus four Option Years. The submission due date and time is Monday, 28 June 10, 10:00 AM (EST). The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is a federal government agency, an education activity, tax exempt, and qualifies for academic/educational pricing. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
