- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, System Engineering Competency, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with MANTECH, for the addition of 74,00, a labor- hour equivalent of 4 months, to the previously estimated level of man hours on the contract. The Government intends to procure the above services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. (2) (iii), as a bridge action between the existing contract and the follow-on competitive acquisition, in order to provide continuity of services. Award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling Government requirements. Reference note 22. The technical and engineering services are currently provided by MANTECH on contract N00421-04-C-0096. The Period of Performance for this contract is set to end on 31 August 2010 and shall be extended to 31 December 2010 by this action. The terms of this contract allow for an increase in the Level of Effort to meet the contract Period of Performance when necessary. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
