Description
The U S Department is seeking qualified Construction firms for the Wolf Creek Civilian Conservation Center located in Glide, Oregon. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. Market research is being conducted to determine all sources that are capable of providing services under this proposed project. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small business with the capabilities and experience. The project involves Contractor services to: (1) construct a new cafeteria, and (2) demolish Buildings 1319 (Dormitory) and 1404 (Dining Hall) at the Wolf Creek Civilian Conservation Center in Glide, Oregon in three (3) phases. Phase -1 requires the demolition of the existing Dormitory, Building 1319, totaling approximately 3,500 gross square feet (GSF), in accordance with construction documents. The building is a wood framed, single-story building with a concrete-foundation built in 1965, and contains asbestos materials requiring removal and disposal. The demolition work includes, but is not limited to, locating and capping all existing utility lines, removing sidewalks and preparing the site for construction of the new cafeteria building. Phase -2 will require the construction of a new approximately 8,000 GSF cafeteria building in accordance with construction documents. The work includes miscellaneous site improvements such as general landscaping, drainage, connection to all utility lines and site/security lighting for a new building. The new building will be constructed with a concrete foundation system, CMU exterior walls, storefront window system, and structural insulated roof panels with metal roof. All new kitchen equipment, walk-in freezer and coolers, and scullery equipment are to be provided and installed as part of the construction services. Phase -3: after completion of the new cafeteria building, the demolition of the existing Dining Hall, Building 1404, in accordance with construction documents will also be required. Building 1404, totaling approximately 11,000 gross square feet (GSF), is a wood framed, single-story building with concrete-foundations built in 1965, and contains asbestos materials requiring removal and disposal. The demolition work includes, but is not limited to, locating and capping all existing utility lines, removing sidewalks and preparing the site for open space. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 236220. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Ms. Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist, U.S. Department of Labor, OASAM, BOC, OPS, Division of Job Corps A&E Construction, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, RM N4308, Washington, DC 20210. Your capability statement shall include three projects performed that are comparable to the work described above. Responses are due July 1, 2010 by 2:00p.m. EDT.
