RFP VA263-10-RP-0177 PRE-SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 001 NAICS 238390 Z - CONSTRUCTION PROJECT INSTALLATION OF PATIENT LIFT EQUIPMENT The VA Minneapolis Contracting and Purchasing Office, 708 South Third Street, Suite 200E, Minneapolis, MN 55415 on behalf of the Facilities Engineering Service, VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 is seeking proposals from small businesses for the following project. NOTE: THIS ACQUISITION IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. ALL CONTRACTORS MUST BE CCR REGISTERED. The Contractor shall be an approved and certified installer of MedCare brand patient lift equipment. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to perform work for the installation of Government owned patient lift system components in an estimated 236 rooms. A contract has been awarded to MedCare, Inc. of Burnsville, MN for the provision of the components to be installed. The VA has scheduled an organized site visit for this project on Thursday June 24, 2010 at 9:00 am at the VA Medical Center, Facility Engineering Service, Project Section, Room BR-145. Solicitation and scope of work documents are expected to be available at www.fbo.gov on or about June 29, 2010. In accordance with the VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR 836.204) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Liquidated Damages: $200.00 per calendar day, including holidays and weekends. NAICS 238390 and $33.0M applies. Project duration is anticipated to be 365 days from Notice to Proceed. All small businesses that are Medcare Products approved and certified patient lift installers are invited to download, complete and submit a proposal. Offerors are to complete and submit their proposals (original and one copy required) not later than Thursday, July 29 2010 at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
