Description
VA Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota is seeking potential firms that have the performance capability for Project 437-308 Replace Operating Room. Contract completion date is 730 days after notice to proceed. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business(SDVOSB) contractors. The estimated dollar value is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. A 20% bid bond will be required at submission of bids. Performamce and Payment bonds will be required within 10 days of contract award. To be eligible for award, SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following sites: www.vetbiz.gov, www.orca bpn.gov and www.ccr.gov. Provide all material, labor, equipment, etc necessary to complete the construction of Fargo VA Medical Center Project 437-308, Replacement Operating Rooms in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to earth work, concrete work, demolition, structural steel installation, fire proofing, new general and specialized construction, mechanical work, plumbing work, sprinkler work and electrical work. Approximately 33,000 square feet of space shall be added to the Fargo VA Medical Center under this project along the west side of existing Building 9. Building 9 is the western most building of the four buildings making up the main Medical Center. This ne space shall contain new operating rooms on the second floor and Supply Processing and Distribution (SPD) activities and equipment on the basement level. Selected pieces of existing equipment shall be relocated under the contract by the contractor who shall utilize a specialized firm or the equipment manufacturer to perform this relocation. It is expected that the installation of selected VA provided equipment such as boom and arms shall be coordinated under the construction contract. Equipment for use in SPD area is expected to be a combination of new and relocated equipment with installation coordinated under the construction contract. Existing interior space shall be remodeled to provide appropriate connections and access to the new addition. All work shall be in compliance with all applicable NFPA, NEC, Life Safety Code, UFAS, OSHA and other pertinent code requirements. This solicitation is anticipated to be available on www.fbo.gov on or about June 30, 2010. Requests for solicitation documents made by telephone, fax, or e-mail will be honored.
