Description
RECOVERY: DEFERRED MAINTENANCE ROOFING PROJECTS The Forest Service has a requirement for the maintenance, rehabilitation and improvements of four-(4) Deferred Maintenance Roofing Projects. The intent of the contract is to remove and replace the existing roofs with new roofing, including underlayment materials, roofing, flashing, ridge caps (as required), waterproofing, and all other incidental work to complete the project. The existing roofing materials shall be disposed of at a county approved landfill or by other legal means. The Contractor shall provide all materials and labor necessary to complete the work in a professional workman like manner and in accordance with attached specifications and manufacturer’s installation instructions and drawings. All lots of roofing materials must be from the same manufacturer to ensure consistency. Final cleanup shall be considered incidental to the work. Project Location: Powell project work is located at Powell Ranger Station, Idaho County, Idaho and is within the Clearwater National Forest. Powell Ranger Station is located approximately 130 miles east of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel east along U.S. Highway 12 to milepost 162, then approximately 0.5 miles to the Ranger Station by Road 102. Kamiah project work is located at Kamiah Work Center in Kamiah, Idaho and is located within Lewis County. Kamiah Work Center is located approximately 23 miles southeast of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel east along U.S. Highway 12 to milepost 64. Musselshell project work is located at Mussellshell Work Center, Idaho County, Idaho and is within the Clearwater National Forest. Mussellshell Work Center is located approximately 39 miles east of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel approximately 8 miles via Highway 12 to Greer, Idaho then approximately 18 miles via Highway 11 to Weippe, Idaho then approximately 13 miles to the work center by Forest Highway 100 and Road 535. Potlatch project work is located at Palouse Ranger Station in Potlatch, Idaho and is located within Latah County. Palouse Ranger Station is located approximately 89 miles northwest of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel west along U.S. Highway 12 for 41 miles, then procede onto Highway 95 North for 47 miles, then right onto Highway 6 for 2 miles, then left onto Road 1460 for 0.3 miles. Canyon project work is located at Canyon Work Center, Clearwater County, Idaho and is within the Clearwater National Forest. Canyon Work Center is located approximately 75 miles northeast of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel approximately 8 miles via Highway 12 to Greer, Idaho then approximately 42.5 miles via Highway 11 to Headquarters, Idaho then approximately 25 miles to the Work Center by Forest Highway 247. Pierce project work is located at Pierce Work Center in Pierce, Idaho and is located within Clearwater County. Pierce Work Center is located approximately 39 miles east of Orofino, Idaho. From Orofino, Idaho travel approximately 8 miles via Highway 12 to Greer, Idaho then approximately 29 miles via Highway 11 to Pierce, Idaho then approximately 0.5 miles to the work center by Canal Street. SITE VISIT: NO PRE-SITE visit will conducted. Offerors are encouraged to review FAR Provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation & Conditions Affecting the Work (1984). Failure of the Offeror to ascertain the nature, location, & conditions which affect the work will not relieve the Offeror from the responsibility of successfully performing the work, without additional expense to the Government. GOV PRICE ESTIMATE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. The solicitation will be posted on or around 1 July 2010.
