- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of licensed contract physicians, psychologists, ophthalmologists, audiologists, and speech and language pathologists. Medical consultants will assess and document impairment severity in SSA disability claim reviews. The medical consultants must be licensed. It is anticipated that 25 to 30 awards will result from this RFQ. Each award will require a minimum of 15 hours per week. Services shall be performed ON-SITE at 300 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. The files to be reviewed CANNOT leave the premises. Medical consultant services shall consist of the contractor's evaluation of medical records to conduct assessments of function and/or review of SSA disability case files only; there shall be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. SSA anticipates awarding firm fixed price Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) with a period of performance consisting of a base period and four one-year ordering periods. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621111 and the size standard is $8.5M. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement is being set aside 100% for small businesses. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. The RFQ will be available for downloading on or about June 28, 2010 from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov with offers due around July 19, 2010. HARD COPIES OF THE RFQ WILL NOT BE MAILED.
