- Description
- RFP ST10-1079 Subcontract Document RFP ST10-1079 Price Proposal Form RFP ST10-1079 Data Service Legacy Sequential Layered Refactoring This RFP is issued by SAIC-Frederick and is ARRA funded. PHONE CALLS REGARDING THIS RFP WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. OFFERORS SHOULD EMAIL THE IDENTIFIED SUBCONTRACT SPECIALIST ONLY. Questions regarding this RFP should be emailed to the Subcontracts Specialist by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 22, 2010. A brief synopsis of the Statement of Work follows: The Subcontractor shall support CBIIT by providing information technology and system development services using an iterative/incremental, rapid prototyping process, and will focus on refactoring legacy system data service functionality within the emerging CBIIT sSOA and CBIIT SAIF IG. The technical services provided shall include - for each refactored data service - the identification and specification of Functional, Semantic, and Conformance profiles for the refactored services which provide CBIIT with sSOA-compliant services that CBIIT can leverage and interoperate within the context of multiple additional CBIIT Translational Medicine Continuum initiatives. In order to support legacy access to the existing data models, refactored service Functional Profiles will include a Profile which enables a service client to access - and then query within the client application - the entire data model in a manner similar to current data discovery and query practice, thereby minimizing the migration path from legacy to refactored application architecture. This Functional Profile is, in particular, aimed at supporting legacy applications which view data discovery and query in the context of the entire legacy data model as currently exposed on the Grid. Specifically, the Subcontractor shall deliver semantically robust specifications that are compliant with CBIIT's ECCF IG that provide well-defined behaviors and loose couplings to information; and reusable components that can be rapidly adapted to caBIG® clients in many contexts. Wherever possible, existing API's and data models will be used as a basis for compilation and composition to create first cut, business level services. In situations where this is not possible, the Subcontractor must first validate that decision with the SAIC-F COTR in conjunction with CBIIT technical leadership and then provide suitable documentation for any alternative strategy/implementation path developed.
