Description
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to negotiate a sole source contract for continued maintenance of the Sterling Commerce Software Products. The support shall include, but is not limited to, new software releases, updates, upgrades, documentation and other contractor technical support services (i.e., contractor-supported telephone hotline). This software is currently run on an IBM 2098-E10 enterprise servers, under the IBM z/OS and z/VM mainframe operating systems located at the Justice Data Centers - Washington D.C. and Dallas. No solicitation document exists. Interested parties must respond with a written statement of capability that convincingly demonstrates that they possess extensive experience with providing Sterling Commerce software licenses and support. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids, and cost or pricing data is not solicited. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated period of performance under any resultant contract will be one year from the date of award with four (4) one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract.
