- Description
- The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), National Business Center (NBC), which is a Federal Human Resources (HR) Shared Service Center (SSC). The NBC provides systems and services to 300,000 federal employees in 40 agencies, one of which is the DOI. NBC has recently implemented a Talent Management System (TMS) to be used by its customers. The TMS includes a learning management module from Plateau Systems, Ltd. NBC hosts the Plateau software at one of its data centers.The U.S. Department of The Interior, National Business Center is conducting market research for 3rd party eLearning content that can be displayed in NBC TMS catalogs and can be accessed by NBC customers using the NBC TMS. eLearning refers to online, web based courses. The information sought is for purposes of market research only. This notice is a market survey and is for information and planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The Government will not issue an award based upon Vendor responses to this announcement. The Government shall not assume any costs for preparing or submitting any information in response to the market survey or the Government's use of the information. Any proprietary information should be clearly identified as 'proprietary information'. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. Companies interesting in providing information in response to this request for information should answer the following:1.What is the name of your company?2.What is the URL for your company web site?3.Where is the headquarters?4.What are the name, phone, and email of the individual to contact if there are follow on questions?5.Is your company the creator of the eLearning content? If not, please list the vendors from whom you obtain the content.6.List the subject areas for which you provide eLearning content and indicate how many courses you provide for each subject area.7.Do you host the eLearning content (deploy the content to computer servers you manage)?8.Do you have customers who successfully use Plateau's Learning Management System to link catalogs to the eLearning course content you provide?9.Do you provide a custom content hosting service to customers? 10.Do you have federal government agencies who are customers of your eLearning content and services? 11.Are your products and services available through the GSA Schedule? If so, please provide the GSA Schedule number. If a third party provides the GSA Schedule offering on your behalf, indicate who that company is.12.Please provide PDF files of literature describing your eContent products and services. Vendors must submit written capability responses, not to exceed a total of twenty (20) pages, by June 29, 2010.
