- NASA has extended Contract NNA04BC25C with Eloret Corporation, by modification, ona sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source, insupport of Ames Research Center's (ARC) Code TS, Space Technology Division, for a periodof six months (May 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010), and increase the contract valueaccordingly. <P>The current Contractor provides the following mission critical support services underSpace Technology Research and Development (STRAD). The principal purpose of this contractis to support the Space Technology Division at NASA Ames Research Center to obtain theservices needed for the development of technologies for use in the design and fabricationof prototype vehicles that travel at hypervelocities in the atmosphere of Earth and otherbodies in the solar system. The Contractor provides support in the areas of Reacting FlowEnvironments, Nanotechnology, Thermo-Physics Facilities, and Thermal Protection Materialsand Systems. This extension will allow for a continuation of services to ensure programcontinuity and critical mission support and avoid significant technical impacts while acompetitive follow-on acquisition is completed. <P>An Ombudsman has been appointed.
