Description
W15QKN-10-R-0121Posted 8 June 2010 The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806- 5000, on behalf of the PM Joint Services intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of commercial Chemical Polymer Modeling Software, related licenses, and system maintenance for one year. The Government requires software that is able to model the diffusion of polymers through a base material and model the locationof the polymer within a base as a function of time. The software must producesimulations at the molecular level and in three-dimensional space. Thesoftware will support efforts to model the aging process on propellants using chemical deterrents. In addition, the software must have the ability to perform a complete simulation within 5 days time. The software must run on a desktop computer with Windows XP operating system with no network/internet access and not require any third-party software other than the operating system as above. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement via a one year Firm Fixed Price commercial purchase order awarded on a sole source basis to Accelrys, Inc. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be posted on the US Army JM&L Contracting Center Procurement Network website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil and https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 21 June 2010. Please note this notice does not constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP). The closing date will be 7 July 2010.
