- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Mammal Laboratory (NMML), located in Seattle, WA 98112 on a sole source basis with Wildlife Computers. The government intends to acquire supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed vendor will provide the following supplies: QTY OF 11 EACH MK 10-F FASTLOC GPS TAGS and QTY 8 EACH MK10-AF FASTLOC GPS TAGS. These GPS instruments are needed to conduct research on the foraging behavior of adult female northern fur seals. The goals of the research require very specific features to be included in the data recorders. These tags are similar in design and function to GPS tags used in previous and ongoing studies at NMML and are needed for purpose of comparing data and results with earlier research studies. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract, for delivery no later than July 19, 2010. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns under the NAICS 541711 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. It is the Government's belief that only Wildlife Computers can provide these supplies. This notice represents the only official notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all submittals received by the due set forth in this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a simplified acquisition estimated value not to exceed $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
