Description
NOTICE CORRECTIONS : This solicitation is scheduled for release on or about June 21, 2010. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for a project entitled "Repair Catfish Ponds" at the USDAS, ARS, Catfish Genetics Research Unit, Stoneville, Mississippi location. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings for Repair Catfish Ponds. Principal features of Work includes, but is not limited to, repairing existing catfish ponds by making sidewall concrete panels plumb, replacing buried cable anchors and turnbuckles, replacing panel end connections, backfilling concrete panels, and placing a layer of crushed stone over disturbed areas. The period of performance is 90 consecutive calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS Code is 238990, with a size standard of $14.0 million. The project is set aside for small business. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-10-0008 is scheduled for release on or about June 2, 2010; interested contractors are to go to web site: www.fbo.gov to submit their requests for a bid package. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. A prebid site visit is scheduled for July 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. central time. Bids will be due by 2:00 p.m. CT on July 22, 2010. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under the solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
