Description
FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT:Norman Karp, RDER-PRA-AB, 732-532-3723 This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources or alternate sources for the overhaul or repair of the Armys Fight Data Recorder (NSN: 6610-01-580-9437), Interconnecting Box (5895-01-564-9012) and the Acoustics Underwater Locator (5845-01-344-7914). The current manufacturer for these units is L-3 Communications, Aviation Recorders, 100 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, Florida 34232, CAGE: 06141. The Fight Data Recorder is Enhanced All Purpose Recorder (APR) with a Ethernet Filter that contains Interconnecting Box (control unit with Microphone) and an Acoustics Underwater Locator Beacon. Detail technical data for the repair, test and evaluation of these units are not available from the army. Repair Contractor capable of performing this effort must so indicate, in writing to Commander US Army C-E LCMC, ATTN: RDER-PRA-AB, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as Evaluation and Test Procedures, copy of purchase order if the repair contractor was a repair subcontractor to the above source or a statement from the above source demonstrating that the repair contractor can, in fact, test, evaluate, and overhaul or repair the subject units. Successful repair contractor shall be required to warrant that they are capable to test, evaluate, and overhaul or repair these items and return it to the Government in the configuration as proper functioning units that will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
