- Description
- NSN: 6350-01-518-3718 RN, Part Number: PD08WRGBGBEB34, X - Ray Inspection Unit. The Radiographic Inspection System is used for the examination of all passenger baggage which may be designated for search whether it is carry-on items or checked and stored in the aircraft. The aim of inspection is to detect all types of firearms, knives, daggers, and similar weapons and all types of organic and inorganic explosives and explosive devices. Refer to the PD that will be provided with the RFQ for complete information. Requirement is for twelve (12) each in the basic year with four additional options for 1-8 each and associated technical manuals. This requirement also calls out for installation. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Delivery is 210 calendar days ARO to FE4804, FE4425, FE4486, FE4479, and FE4503. Solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 22 June 2010, with response due 22 July 2010. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. The technical data required to respond to the RFP will also be available at www.fedbizopps.gov. Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may access the data. All questions regarding the RFP and/or the data packages must be submitted in writing to Victor.Henderson@robins.af.mil with copy to Kathryn.Canady@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal. This procurement will use the Past Performance Information Retrieval System-Statistical Reporting (PPIRS-SR) in the evaluation of past performance. It is recommended that all interested vendors check their PPIRS-SR data prior to submission of proposals for data accuracy. See government-wide numbered note 1.
