Description
Installation and lease of cable television services for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations' New Office Building (NOB) located at 799 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017. The vendor will be responsible for providing all equipment necessary for the installation and maintenance of cable television services for approximately 50 to 70 flat screen television sets. The system will not and cannot support set top cable boxes. The cable service provided must consist of basic and HD channels currently available at USUN, the UNTV channel, and up to three additional in-house channels. The work requirements shall be geared towards USUN's specific needs. All materials and equipment installed by the vendor for the purpose of providing service must conform to U.S. Government standards and regulations and U.S. Government green initiative standards. The cable television services must be installed by the vendor and operational in the NOB by July 27, 2010. The additional cost of permits, labor, street cuts, cable pulls and connectivity shall be the responsibility of the vendor. The vendor will be responsible for giving designated USUN staff basic training of the cable television operating system. The vendor shall have the necessary professional and technical expertise to fulfill the requirements of this job. All bids will be evaluated based on lowest price technically acceptable from a responsible vendor. The vendor's staff and sub-contractors involved with the installation for service must be cleared by USUN's Regional Security Office before accessing the NOB. A site visit will be held at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations New Office Building (NOB) located at 799 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017, on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Anyone planning to attend should contact Jennifer Johnson by Wednesday, June 9, 2010, using the contact information listed above.
