Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number N62786-10-T-0002 applies. Quotes must be received at the Supervisor of Shipbuilding C&R, Bath, Maine electronically or in writing by 12:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 06, 2010 to be considered. The RFQ, incorporated provisions and clauses, are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-41 and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20100507. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Bath, Maine intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 13.302. This requirement is set-aside for all categories of small business to include 8(a), Hub Zone, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned Small Business, etc. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on a competitive basis. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before July 20, 2010. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 336611. SUPSHIP Bath has a requirement to contract for the following items: Contract Item 0001: Overhaul of YRBM-9 Barge. Work includes but is not limited to standard hazardous waste control; Underwater hull inspection and repair; accomplish underwater hull and freeboard preservation; replace underwater hull zinc anodes; (option item) provide towing services to and from Contractors facility; accomplish cleaning and pumping; accomplish dry-dock, fleet and undocking vessel. Vendors must provide valid Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, DUNs number and Tax ID number. To be eligible for award, you must be within 150 mile radius of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, NH and you must properly register in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. In addition, Certifications to support FY10 NAVSEA Standard Items 009-12, Welding, Fabrication, and Inspection Requirements and 009-32 (CH-1), Cleaning and PaintingRequirements may be requested.
