Description

Sources Sought Notice The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) seeks information on commercial vendors that are capable of providing an elevated SENSOR MOUNTING FRAME that is capable of securely supporting multiple sensors and that provides easy re-adjustment of sensor locations. The SENSOR MOUNTING FRAME will need to extend around a lab perimeter of approximate dimensions 15 m (length) x 14 (width) 7.5 m (height) from the lab floor. The platform will form a continuous closed loop around the lab perimeter but must not interfere with the labs existing gantry crane. Sensors placed on the platform will be part of a larger Sensor Network used to support experiments in the Intelligent and Automated Construction Job Site (IACJS) test bed. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed and specifications are developed for a SENSOR MOUNTING FRAME that can meet NIST's minimum requirements, NIST may conduct a competitive procurement and subsequently award a Purchase Order. If at least two qualified small businesses are identified during this market research stage, then any competitive procurement that resulted would be conducted as a small business set-aside.
