Replace Steam Trap at Castle Point Campus Project#620A4-09-117 2237-Construction - 3rd Qtr Control Point FCP: 2334 A/O NRM ACC # 23NR0212B BOC: 3220(Capitalize) Cost Center: 8542 VENDOR:Any COTR: Daniel Mata STATEMENT OF BID ITEM Project#620A4-09-117- Replace Steam Trap at Castle Point Campus: The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision and personnel necessary to accomplish the project as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications and to comply with VA Standards. The project will involve, but not be limited to, trades required for the removal and replacement of the existing steam traps and condensate return pumps, but not limited to, steam traps, piping, pumps, control, and all associated electrical connections. The base bid also includes installation of wireless steam trap monitoring system including, but not limited to, sensors, transmitters, range extenders, data servers with all associated mechanical and electrical connections to existing intranet and training of VA personnel. Work in Building 16 includes replacement and relocation of condensate piping as shown in the drawing. Include all cleanup and debris removal, testing, commissioning, and related work. All work to be completed and as indicated and noted on Contract, drawings, scope of work and in these Specifications. All design and construction must be in compliance with VA Master Specifications, security requirements, guidelines and standards, ASHRAE standards and all other applicable federal, state, national and local code as per requirement of all governing agencies. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration any shutdowns. 400 Calendar Days Completion Time from Notice to Proceed ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST $ 661,737.00 FMS Obligation Ending Date: 3/31/2012 JUSTIFICATION: Due to age of system and failures reducing the quantity of return condensate to properly and efficiently operate the boiler plant and prevent major lost of heat and hot water. Required to comply with Executive Order 13423, Epact 2005, VA Energy Mandates to reduce energy consumption.
