Description
AATD intends to purchase a Vibration Test System to perform environmental testing on components designed to be installed in U.S. Army rotorcraft and other U.S. Military platforms. This system must meet the following requirements: Controller: " 4 Channels (Minimum) " Sine Control: 0.1 to 32,000 Hz " Random Control: 0.5 to 32,000 Hz " Capable of transporting controller to field locations to collect acceleration measurements on test vehicles. If a separate computer is required to operate the controller in the field, the government will supply this computer. " Capable of reproducing collected acceleration measurements on table. Table: " Continuous Vibration: 3000 lbf " Shock: 6000 lbf " Mounting Table o 36 by 36 (Horizontal) o 36 by 36 (Vertical) " Continuous Displacement: 2.0 inches " Maximum Table Payload: 660 lbs " Minimum Over-Turning Moments: o Pitch 45,000 lbf-ft o Roll: 37,000 lbf-ft o Yaw: 34,000 lbf-ft " Air Isolation Feet " Ambient Operating Temperature: up to 95F Amplifier: " Air-Cooled " Ability to continue uninterrupted operation at full performance with failed power module Specifications, plans or drawings relating to this procurement are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Please Note: The AATD structural test laboratory is a research and development facility that conducts tests on new and future aircraft components. The aviation industry and the U.S. military are continually pushing the envelope of current aircraft technology. AATD is looking to purchase a system that has very broad capabilities. We recognize the 32 kHz control frequency requirement exceeds the capability of the slip table and may seem inconsistent with the total system. However, this laboratory plans to use this added capability to control other force-vibration shakers we currently have and others we plan to acquire in the future. We also believe this added resolution will allow us better analysis and/or visualization into a given test. Therefore, we believe this capability is a requirement. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit a proposal. All responsible sources that submit an offer will be considered. Proposals are due on June 10, 2010, 2:00 PM EST and shall be submitted to the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate, Attn: CCAM-RDT (Erika Matthews), 401 Lee Blvd., Fort Eustis VA 23604-5577 by email (erika.faith.matthews@us.army.mil) or regular mail. Contracting Officer P.O.C. is Linda Diedrich, 757-878-4828 or linda.diedrich@us.army.mil.
