Description
The Coast Guard is seeking contractors interested in submitting proposals for providing shuttle services between US Coast Guard Island in Alameda, California and Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building in Oakland, California. The shuttle services will be required all day on all business days throughout a year. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, and equipment required to provide safe, reliable shuttle services for the U.S. Coast Guard, Base Support Unit Alameda (Government), located at Coast Guard Island, Alameda, California. These services will be required to shuttle personnel between Coast Guard Island and the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building (Federal Building) in Oakland, California, with morning and afternoon stops at the Lake Merritt BART station located in Oakland. Contractor shall provide a sufficient quantity of vehicles with a capacity of not fewer than sixteen (16) seated passengers under this contract and furnish replacement vehicles while regular equipment is out of service. Vehicles placed on the contract must meet the applicable registration, identification, safety, and insurance standards required by law and the Federal, State, and local statutory requirements for handicapped passenger accessibility. All drivers shall meet the required Federal, State, and local drivers licensing requirements for operation of commercial vehicles under this contract. The anticipated start date will be 01 October 2010 and requirement is anticipated to extend through 30 September 2015. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 485410, School and Employee Bus Transportation. A set-aside determination has not yet been made. The business size shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, small business).
