- PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE FOR TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTER (PIC) AND INSTALL WIND BREAKS AT TWO (2) COMMITAL SHELTERS AT THE NATIONAL CEMETERY OF THE ALLEGHENIES, LOCATED IN BRIDGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-IB-0077 for the following: Contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to design and implement improvements to the Public Information Center (PIC) and install wind breaks at two (2) committal shelters at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 90 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237990 SIZE STANDARD: $33.5M METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-PICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsive, responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation documents will be available as stated above, on or about 06-16-10. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. SUBMITTING BIDS: Based on the above release date, bids will be due in our office on 7-15-10, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. When submitting bids or offers to our address it is highly recommended that an over night service is utilized. There are unusually long delays associated with the delivery of US Postal Service first class and/or priority mail to government offices in Washington DC. BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's Mailing List at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List". Individual copies of the Bidder's Mailing List will NOT be prepared, maintained, or distributed by the Contracting Officer. PRE- BID SITE VISIT & QUESTIONS: A site visit will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:00am (Eastern Time). Any questions concerning this solicitation are due to the contracting officer no later than Thursday, July 1, 2010 by 12:00pm (Eastern Time).
