Description
This is an acquisition for a service contract to provide grounds maintenance services to support Dover AFB, DE. The contractor provides all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at Dover Air Force Base in a manner that will maintain healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. This work will consist of multiple disciplines in landscaping services categories. The work may include maintaining improved grounds, semi-improved grounds, unimproved grounds, maintain, adjust, and repair existing lawn irrigation system, operate irrigation systems, remove debris/police grounds, collect and dispose dead animals, leaf removal, fertilization, lawn renovation, pruning of shrubs hedges and other plants. The services will require airfield coordination, flight line drivers, airfield tower communications, provide airfield light fixtures, maintain surface drainage ditches, perform snow/ice removal, special tree care, emergency spot pruning and trimming, tree and stump removal, emergency tree and stump removal, emergency and special event services, special cuts, planting trees, shrubs, and vegetative beds. The service work includes task in various labor categories such as laborer, grounds maintenance, and tree trimmers. The acquisition will include additional requirements for emergency tree pruning, emergency tree and stump removal, leaf removal, special cuts, and planting trees, shrubs and vegetative beds. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730. The approximate issue of date will be 18 June 2010 with an approximate response date of 19 July 2010. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal and is issued as HubZone Small Business Set-Aside. All firms must be registered with the Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive award. This solicitation will result in a firm-fixed price requirement contract. The performance period is one (1) initial year and four (4) option years. Estimated contract performance period is 365 calendar days for the base year with four 12 months periods, which may be exercised at the Government's option. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 436 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE SENT OUT.
